Susan Avsec is currently retired having 35 years of professional experience. She and her husband, Tom, live in Austinburg and have two grown sons who reside in the Chicago area.
Ms. Avsec was a member of the Booz Allen Hamilton Decision Analytics team, specializing in asset accounting and federal property management. She had ten years of experience as an asset manager at a Department of Energy remediation site where she was engaged in Property, Plant, and Equipment valuation and reporting per Department of Energy and U. S Government standards. She most recently was special assistant to the Chief Financial Officer at the NASA Glenn Research Center where she was responsible for program and project management services and integrated project master scheduling. She also has twenty years of experience in project management and program development in academic and corporate environments, including experience in research design, experimentation, statistical analysis, and data evaluation in both scientific and business disciplines. A recognized expert in federal asset management, she was a founding member of ASTM Committee 53 Personal Property Management, which writes property management standards for industry, government and the university sectors.
