- The huge statue of Christ is located at the peak of the Corcovado Mountain in the Tijuca Forest National Park overlooking the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
- The Christ the Redeemer statue depicts Jesus Christ holding his arms wide open. The statue is so big that it is visible across the city. It is meant to symbolize welcome, faith and acceptance.
