Come learn the various features of SAR's Patriot Research System that are available for general public use. SAR representative Steve Hinson will teach us in which ways that this database is available for the purpose of general research including its Patriot, Member, Descendant, Biography, and Cemetery search features.

Presenter Steve Hinson (OH): National Society Sons of the American Revolution; Vice President General, Central District; Chairman Patriot Records Committee; Vice Chairman Genealogy Research Committee; Vice Chairman Membership Committee; Vice Chairman Information Technology Committee; Secretary Member Education Committee; Member Audit Committee. He became a member of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) in November 2012. Not one to sit
still he became involved and held chapter positions of historian, treasurer and president. In January 2014 he became Ohio Society SAR Treasurer and ultimately Ohio Society SAR President 2019-2020. He became involved in National Society SAR organization in 2015 and was elected a Vice President General of the Central District (OH, IN, KY, WV) in 2023. Among other committees he serves as National Society SAR Chairman of the Patriot Records Committee and Vice Chairman of the Genealogy Research Committee. The Patriot Records Committee has responsibility for the design and use of the Patriot Research System and website.
Steve has been doing genealogy research on his family since the age of 16 and has assisted many others with their research.
