Program Description

Event Details

You found an online family tree that indicates your family descends from a Mayflower passenger, so now what? Some of these family trees are right, many are not. Discover valuable tools to help you verify your Mayflower lineage. Learn the steps to become a member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants in Ohio, one of 54 Member Societies comprising The
General Society of Mayflower Descendants.

Terri Brown, Deputy Historian of the Society of Mayflower Descendants in Ohio since 2022 and a member of SMDOH since 2006. My ancestors are John Alden, Priscilla (Mullins) Alden, William Mullins, William Brewster, Mrs. Mary Brewster, Love Brewster, Richard Warren, John Howland, Elizabeth (Tilley) Howland, John Tilley and Joan (Hurst) Tilley. I’m also a member of several other lineage and genealogical societies, including Daughter of the American Revolution and Daughters of American Colonists. This is a culmination of a life-long love of history, family stories and over 25 years of genealogical research.
